Training
Training of operators running an IX plant is crucial for optimum performance of the plant. When operators understand why certain steps are required, it improves on general plant operation.
The first step in a training program is a plant audit to get a full understanding of the existing plant equipment and current operation practices. This could lead to some suggested changes to improve plant performance.
The second step is the preparation of the training program involving a PowerPoint presentation and a hand-out summarizing the highlights of the presentation. Dos and don’ts will be stressed.
In general the training session is presented twice in order to cover the various shifts.
